Scottish Dance Theatre - featured clips of work

A promo video and three clips from Scottish Dance Theatre, Scotland's principal contemporary dance company

Scottish Dance Theatre, winner of  2003's Critic's Circle National Dance Award for Outstanding Repertoire (Modern), is a company on the move, constantly stretching the skills and talents of ten young, powerful and committed dancers under the guidance of Janet Smith, one of the most respected and established Artistic Directors in Britain today.

Produced by GOAT. Choreography by Beth Cassani, Sean Feldman, Rui Horta, Victro Quijada, Didy Veldman. Original music by Philip Feeny, Paolo Santos.

Features:

Promo video - featuring contemporary dancers dancing to background music. Then interviewing Artistic director Janet Smith who says: 'we have 10 dancers, 5 men and 5 women with a strong technical team and office support and we're based at Dundee Rep Theatre.  SDT is a young company made up of people from different backgrounds and performances and bringing in different skills.  Camera focuses on the dancers who talk about the team being friends in light of the great amount of time they spend together.  This brings a sense of community on stage, which, one of the dancers says, is the reason they are able to produce good dance.
