partners is a National Lottery-funded initiative giving communities with little experience of the arts new opportunities to engage with professional artists.
The first round of funding through the partners scheme established 22 new residencies in communities around Scotland. The second round, announced in Ocober 2005, awarded over £750,000 to a further 27 creative projects across Scotland.
This area will provide those involved in the residencies with information on how to apply for funding and credit the partners scheme if successful, as well as sample documentation including contracts and evaluation forms and more.
For information on applying for funding through the partners programme, please refer to the funding for organisations area of this website.
The partners programme supports artist residencies lasting from 3 months to 2 years. The artist(s) should be based in, and work in collaboration with a local community in Scotland. Residencies should also provide a period of reasonable financial security and time for artists to develop their own work.
Please use the application form for organisations to apply for funding. The partners toolkit, below, also provides useful information.
