In August 2009, The Scottish Arts Council launched Amb:IT:ion Scotland, a new £800,000* programme to support digital development and change in arts organisations throughout Scotland. This flexible and innovative new programme aims to help achieve sustainable organisational change and improve capacity for audience engagement, through implementing integrated IT and digital development. |
Working with Glasgow Grows Audiences and Rudman Consulting, the £800,000* investment from the Scottish Arts Council's National Lottery Fund will support and encourage arts organisations with ambitious, holistic, digital development aspirations and raise the overall level of the digital technology base in the arts sector in Scotland.
You are strongly encouraged to join the Amb:IT:ion programme and to become involved in the learning and sharing activities planned. To access free workshops, events, online material, case studies and online tools to help your organisation develop digitally, sign up to the GetAmbition social network and the Amb:IT:ion Scotland regional group.
The online social network is a place for sharing ideas and networking. It will also be hosting a few live online events to help you learn how to use some of the networking tools:
-
Video Conference Live! Learn about using Tokbox within the GetAmbITion social network on Wednesday 21 October from 5pm-6pm. This will be repeated on Wednesday 18 November from 5pm-6pm.
-
Chat Room Live! Learn about the Instant Message session within the GetAmbITion social network. This ran on Wednesday 7 October but will be repeated on Wednesday 4 November from 5pm-6pm.
The Amb:IT:ion website will become more focussed on Amb:IT:ion Scotland's activities over November. This will be the place to find official communications and resources: news about upcoming events and the latest digital development news.
The deadline for outline proposals for partnership and associate involvement with Amb:IT:ion Scotland has now passed.
