Dance takes to the road with touring performances

Scottish Arts Council hears sweet music in First Ministers announcement

Broad range of writers to benefit from bursaries
Seventeen writers have been awarded bursaries ranging from £3,000 to £15,000 through the Scottish Arts Council Writers' and Playwrights' Bursaries scheme. The recipients include many of Scotland's acclaimed poets, playwrights and writers of fiction and non-fiction, as well as many new emergent talents. |

On with the show at the Royal Lyceum
The upheaval of major refurbishment work caused hardly a flutter to performances at Edinburgh’s Royal Lyceum Theatre. While audiences enjoyed a variety of shows, performers and staff mingled with workers in hard hats and painters in overalls during rehearsals as the buildings were given a behind-the-scenes facelift. |

Scottish Arts Council support for the Creative Arts
The Scottish Arts Council's Creative Arts portfolio includes Literature, Crafts and the Visual Arts. The total portfolio budget will be £7.2m and includes £560,000 to implement strategic priorities of equality and accessibility, together with a further £1.1m of National Lottery funding for specific projects that also meet the priorities identified in artform strategies |
