Scottish Arts Council Report on the P6 Target Data - Year Four (2006/07)
This paper provides information on how the P6 target, which was set by the Scottish Executive in 2003, has been sustained in the fourth year of the Youth Music Initiative (YMI) in Scotland (2006-2007). This report is based on data provided by all 32 local authorities and Jordanhill School.

Development of the Infrastructure and Support of Live Art in Scotland
This study aimed to identify if there was a need for a recognised infrastructure to respond strategically to new artist’s practices and ideas. It assessed the existing approaches and models that support both emerging and established Live Art practioners and investigated examples of good practice from other countries. It recommended improvements to enhance existing developments and support structures, and identified organisations that could potentially develop their role in supporting Live Art in Scotland.

Development of the Street Arts Sector in Scotland
The aim of this study was to explore the current status and future aspirations of the Street Art sector in Scotland and to identify opportunities for its further development. This was achieved by gathering information about the sector, reviewing its development in both Scotland and England, as well as other parts of Europe and investigated the future needs of the Street Arts community. It concluded by recommending actions that could inform the development of a Street Arts strategy.

Research into Translation Literature
The aim of this research was to develop and recommend a number of costed options that could improve the existing translating arrangements in Scotland, so as to ensure that Scotland developed a co-ordinated and strategic approach to translating literature into English, Scots and Gaelic and the international promotion of such literature from Scotland. This study investigated the experiences of key stakeholders.

Feasibility Study into International Exposure for Scottish Theatre and Dance Artists
This research commissioned by the Scottish Arts Council and conducted by RGA Ltd sought to review opportunities for improvement in the international promotion of Scotland-based theatre and dance artists. The researchers consulted with a wide range of stakeholders including artists; arts organisations; promoters and producers during this research and used examples of good practice from other countries to formulate their recommendations for improvements in this area in Scotland.

A Sound Investment - workforce development in music education
The Scottish Arts Council commissioned RSAMD to undertake an audit of current training opportunities for musicians and teachers across Scotland. This report provides an insight into the ecology of the youth music sector, strengths and weaknesses of current provision and makes a number of recommendations for informing future policy decisions. These recommendations are not solely specific to the YMI but are aimed at a wide range of stakeholders in music education.

Crafts Audiences in Scotland
The Scottish Arts Council commissioned this two-phased project to gain a further understanding of the motivations and attitudes of the audience for crafts in Scotland. The study aimed to better understand the current and potential audiences for crafts as well as the relationship between craft attendees and craft participants.
