It may also support the costs of pre-recording rehearsal.

Jazz Development The Jazz Development fund ran in 2009/10 as an open fund.  It will run again in 2010/11 but will be operated as a managed fund therefore applications will be by invitation only.  We will prioritise applications that propose regular programmes (including festivals) of jazz which contribute to building a vibrant infrastructure for Scotland’s jazz musicians and audiences.  Please contact the Music Department by Monday 18 January 2010 if you wish to discuss a potential application and to request a copy of the guidelines.

Fast-track = Fast-track (applications accepted throughout the year)

Organisations may also be eligible to apply for Funding Across Artforms.

Please note:
The Scottish Arts Council will not normally fund productions through project funding that are programmed to appear at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival or Edinburgh International Festival only.  Tours which include these festivals are eligible but the festival appearances must be part of a larger Scottish tour, the majority of performances must happen outside of the festivals.

Tune Up - Music Touring

Our music touring programme Tune Up was established by the Scottish Arts Council in 2003 and provides funding to top musicians and artists to perform across Scotland.

Please note: the deadline for proposals for tours in Scotland between September 2009 and August 2010 has now passed.

Please visit the Tune Up website for the latest - or add your details to the Industry Mailing List for email updates.
