 Literature and storytelling development workers

Assistance for organisations to employ writers and storytellers to develop their own work in the context of dynamic opportunities within specific communities.

Grants are available to cover writer's/storyteller's fee, which would typically be a minimum of £18,000 per annum or pro rata.

Up to 50% partnership funding required for most projects.

Applications are accepted throughout the year.

 Writing and Storytelling Fellowships

Support for appropriate host communities to create full-time posts to assist literature development with an emphasis on creative reading and writing.

Grants are available to cover the post holder's salary, which would typically be a minimum of £18,000 per year or pro-rata. 

50% partnership funding required.

Applications are accepted throughout the year.

 Translation

To assist publishers overseas with the cost of translating works of 20th century and contemporary Scottish literature

Minimum £100 - maximum of up to 90% of translation fee, subject to a limit of £5,000
