TGOZ - Travelling Gallery Autumn 2004 exhibition
The Travelling Gallery is a purpose built mobile art gallery that provides greater opportunity for communities throughout Scotland to experience the quality and diversity of contemporary art at first hand. The Travelling Gallery was introduced in 1978 by the Scottish Arts Council. In 1997 its operation was switched to the City of Edinburgh Council which continues to operate a national service.
| The latest Travelling Gallery exhibition, TGOZ, features new work by ten Scottish artists who have all been recipients of the Scottish Arts Council Australia Residency Award. The exhibition will tour throughout Scotland for sixteen weeks visiting over eighty different venues across the country, from Shetland to Dumfries and Galloway. |
 |
 | TGOZ will include work by artists Claire Barclay, Nathalie de Briey, Samantha Clark, Alan Currall, Kevin Henderson, Stephen Hurrel, Mandy McIntosh, Anne Morrison, Calum Stirling and Zoë Walker. The exhibition explores ideas about place, travel, landscape and people, ideas relevant to both the Travelling Gallery and the artists’ residencies in Australia and Tasmania.
