The 10 Scottish acts who attended the festival were:

All of the bands had the opportunity to perform to some of the 7,000 music industry delegates who attended the event.  The organisers select the bands on the basis of their musical talent and proven readiness to sell themselves to an international market.

This year's acts will be hoping to experience the same success as the 13 Scottish bands who attended last year.  Among them was Mercury Music Prize winner Franz Ferdinand.  They went on to receive critical acclaim in the US being named as the most influential band of 2004 by Spin, the US music magazine.

For more information on the festival, have a look at the SxSW website.
