The best new buildings in Scotland National Lottery funded buildings win awards
During May and July of 2007 Architecture Scotland asked architects to submit details of buildings they have been involved in for inclusion in this section of the website. A selection of the best buildings have been included in the Architecture Scotland Annual 2007, published in October. These buildings are highlighted within this section as 'ASA Listed Buildings'.
This is an ongoing project and they a keen to include as many new buildings and projects as possible - if you would like to submit a building please visit their website. Your submission will be added immediately to the website and then go on to be considered for inclusion in the Architecture Scotland Annual 2008.
Amongst the buildings included in the Architecture Scotland Annual 2007 are following, funded by the National Lottery through the Scottish Arts Council.

The Bridge Arts Centre (Platform) in Easterhouse has won a RIBA National Award.

The RIBA National Awards are new awards which represent the best architecture in the United Kingdom. The project now goes on to the prestigious RIBA Stirling Prize Awards mid-list and is the only Scottish project to be shortlisted for the Prime Minister’s Better Public Buildings Award.
The Bridge Arts Centre in Easterhouse and The Scottish Storytelling Centre in Edinburgh were winners of Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Awards, along with a third building, a private house in Edinburgh. The three winners went on to the next round of Awards – the RIBA National Awards – with The Bridge subsequently becoming the only Scottish project to win a National Award.
In addition to the RIBA awards, the architects who designed The Bridge, Gareth Hoskins Architects, took home two awards for The Bridge from the Scottish Design Awards. The Bridge won Best Public Building and Architecture Grand Prix awarded to the best architecture project featured in the awards.
