The 2005 Edinburgh International Book Festival will be held from 13 – 29 August in Charlotte Square Gardens and launches a major international theme about the future of nations: What are nations for and how do they behave in the 21st century?

- Dario Fo
- Ian Rankin
- Iain Banks
- Clare Short
- Jon Snow
- Neil Kinnock and
- Andrew Marr.
More themes within the Edinburgh International Book Festival 2005 include Focus on Russia, International Fiction, Popular Science, Creative Writing and many more.

All the favourites return – crime, travel, lived lives (biography and memoir) poetry, comedy, nature and the environment plus a stunning line up of the best novelists in fine fiction.
There is also an exciting children’s programme with something for all ages, including events for schools and teachers, teenagers and families. |
