The 35th Perth Festival offers a top-notch programme, with big names, a brand new concert hall and a strong international presence. From Van Morrison and Ladysmith Black Mambazo to Ballet Russe with Swan Lake and a stand-up comedy night featuring Karen Dunbar, there's sure to be something for everyone!
The focus of the Festival will be centred on the brand new Perth Concert Hall at Horsecross, where a huge inflatable air sculpture called Amazozo will be sited for the opening weekend. Amazozo is an intricate exploration of light and form, taking it's inspiration from Islamic architecture. It has to been seen to be believed!

Architects of Air exhibit the luminarium artworks of Alan Parkinson around the world. Since 1990, they've exhibited in 25 countries and Amozozo heads to Belfast and Nottingham later this year.

Perth Festival continues to showcase the big names! This year, Van Morrison will play with his big band at the new Perth Concert Hall at Horsecross - an event which has created huge interest throughout Perth.
Elaine Page follows in the footsteps of Lesley Garrett and Dame Kiri te Kanawa by performing the Festival's closing concert on Sunday 28 May.

The Festival continues its strong relationship with English Touring Opera for a sixth year. They will perform two nights of Tosca and one of Jenufa.
Tosca's heady blend of intrigue, lust and revenge has made it one of the best-loved operas of all time. Containing some of opera's best known tune, this is sure to be a captivating and exciting night out!
Jenufa caused a scandal when it first appeared but soon triumphed worldwide. You'll leave the theatre with your faith in humanity re-affirmed by this powerful opera! |
