The Buckie Festival, now heading into its third consecutive year, attracts local, national and international performers.  The festival offers a truly eclectic programme of events, including the opportunity to dance your socks off at the Festival Ceilidh!

Regulars at T in the Park, top ceilidh band Hogtie will lead festival goers through well known and not so well known reels and dances with their very own caller.  A great opportunity for those of you who are new to ceilidh dancing to learn how it’s done and have a lot of fun into the bargain.

Wee Stories and more

Returning to Buckie following their very successful show Tam O’Shanter last year, the award-winning Wee Stories Theatre Company presents Labyrinth - the magnificent story of Theseus and the Minotaur, a classic tale from Greek mythology.

Magnetic and hilarious entertainment for all the family, Labyrinth is another example of Wee Stories’ aim to enchant children and their families with their unmistakable love of literature, visual games and transfixing and imaginative stagecraft.

By popular demand, Fringe First winner David Benson makes a very welcome return to The Buckie Festival for the final night.  He brings classic ghost stories to spine-chilling life in this spooky show for all the family.

This is David Benson’s fifth solo show.  His best known previous work is Think No Evil Of Us: My Life With Kenneth Williams.

Buckie Festival is proud to be able to offer north-east audiences the opportunity to see acts often only associated with the Edinburgh Festival Fringe
