Gender Equality Scheme 2010 - 2013
The Scottish Arts Council has published a revised Gender Equality Scheme for 2010, as we move into the new organisation Creative Scotland. It is anticipated that Creative Scotland will take forward the recommendations outlined in this scheme during 2010. By December 2010 we will produce, after consultation, a Single Equality Scheme covering all identified equality strands, to align with the requirements of the new Equality Act 2010.

Race Equality Scheme (RES)
The Scottish Arts Council’s Race Equality Scheme (RES) is part of our wider equalities policy framework, where we aim to embed equalities into everything we do. It sets out our Action Plan for 2010, and shows how we intend to reinforce race equality within the organisation. The RES is a live document, and will be updated as necessary. The RES will be reviewed by Creative Scotland.

Disability Equality Scheme 2010-2012 (DES)
The Scottish Arts Council aims to ensure equality in all that we do. We are committed to fulfilling the legislative duties for equalities and to demonstrate our commitment through this Disability Equality Scheme 2010-2012(DES). The DES forms an integral part of the wider equality policies and strategies in Scottish Arts Council. This DES contains our Action Plan for 2010 which sets out how we intend to reinforce and embed disability equality. The DES will be reviewed by Creative Scotland.

Disability Arts Network? Report
Since developing a disability strategy in 2000 and adopting the Social Model of Disability in 2001, the Scottish Arts Council has sought greater strategic development of art by, with and about disabled people on a Scotland-wide basis and to this end appointed Phyllis Steel, a highly experienced Scottish arts practitioner, to bring disabled artists together with relevant organisations to look at possible ways forward. This report represents a summary of that meeting, held on 1st October 2008.
