Drake Music Scotland
Background
Drake Music Scotland creates opportunities for people of all ages with disabilities to participate actively in music-making.

Using a range of innovative music technologies, it works with partners throughout Scotland in the arts, education and community sectors. It support those who have difficulty accessing music through conventional instruments to learn, play, compose and perform music as independently as possible and on an equal footing with other musicians.

Drake Scotland recently opened its new premises at SPACE, a redeveloped old primary school in the heart of Craigmillar SPACE. The building already houses a gallery and theatre, complemented by the new and fully accessible music facilities which include a soundproofed music studio and training space. |
The move was funded through a grant from the National Lottery through the Scottish Arts Council and partnership funding from several other sources.
